Salado Cottage Retreat near Downtown

Everything was clean and in good order. The bed was very comfortable. The TV was great w ability to watch movies w/o having to put in all our passwords. We enjoyed the spa tub. The scenery was beautiful. Liked access to a refrigerator and microwave.

Nothing really. I would suggest perhaps a small table by the tub for drinks, towels, PJs and/or hooks on the doors/wall to hang a robe, clothes or towel. One other thought is perhaps a lower light option in the spa area. Besides those tiny things we could tell everything was well thought out to be comfortable.

This is a beautiful property minutes from the freeway and downtown Salado but far enough back that you feel somewhat secluded. It is also conveniently close to the local golf course which was a fun course to play. The living space was large and open with comfortable seating for guests. I loved the wet shower and bath. Would be a great place for a couples retreat. I did not get to use the outdoor fireplace and gathering area but it looked awesome.

The only down side was a lack of a closet. There is a devise on the wall that open with a rod to hang clothes on but it is not very big and may not handle everything that a couple may bring.

Immaculate cottage with excellent decor. Absolutely fabulous stay.

Everything was perfect for what we needed. It was cozy & quiet.

Beautiful property, extremely clean, comfy bed, quiet, wonderful bathroom and great rainfall shower head. The room smelled so clean and fresh when we opened the door! This was one of the best places we have found, and we hope to stay again in the future!

We liked everything! Maybe just add a couple of hooks in the bathroom for extra towels? That’s the only thing I can think of!

The location was central to everywhere we wanted to be. The area was quiet. You share the outdoor area with the hosts but they give you plenty of privacy. My mom and I stayed for a girls trip and one of our favorite things was sitting outside and enjoying the scenery and deer in the evening. You will not be disappointed.

The property has a beautiful wet room with the shower and tub enclosed. The down side is that the only shower head is a rain shower head so if you are not wanting to get your hair wet it could be a bit tricky. This is not even a negative, just an fyi.

The location was great and the surrounding grounds were absolutely beautiful. I particularly enjoyed the swings under the giant live oak trees. The guestroom was extremely spacious and very clean and comfortable.

The only concern I had upon arrival was having to use a shared walkway that passed directly by the property owners' main door. I was afraid that we might interfer with their privacy as we were coming and going during our stay, However, it did not create any issue at all!
