Clean bedding, nice lighting in beds. It's a good location on the way to the airport.

The kitchen was unclean & cluttered. The town has a weird energy. I only chose it for 1 night because I was going to a nearby event. Don't think it's worth that price.

The room was advertised as a 'family room' in this hostel because I liked the location but didn't want to sleep in a bunk bed. Many hostels have private rooms so I went ahead only to discover the room itself featured simply two sets of bunk beds. No bathroom, no other furniture. I did explain how misleading this is so they offered me one of their small apartments across the street. I thought this was very kind so I paid an additional amount but actually my stay was very bad. The atmosphere in the village was very stale and I spent most of my time in the beautiful old town of Lagos, where I will definitely return to and book somewhere within Lagos itself next time. I was looking for tranquility but actually the ants in the apartment, the stale atmosphere of the village as well as the sometimes rude service (sometimes very kind as well) did lead me to writing this negative review. I do feel my experience elsewhere in Portugal from the south to the north has been fantastic overall and I have learned so much from the people while visiting their beautiful, rich and diverse country. But this stay was not one I can rave about unfortunately.

The bed was very comfy and I liked the reading light.

The accommodation was self-catering and the facilities were good. It would be better if the food other guests had left was cleared away e.g. lots of opened packets of rice and pasta on the work surfaces.

I'd been looking at the Property for a while as a break from the coast and was put off by the bunk beds. However, when I decided to chance it, it was the best quality pillow I've had all holiday and the gap was big enough that I didn't hit my head and could work on my laptop while sat in bed. There was also a shelf and a chair to work in another part of the room so it worked out very well. The owner was very sweet, the kitchen was a proper working kitchen for a house and the bathroom had all the products you'd expect from a Portuguese homestay.
