Lovely old home with wooden floors beautifully restored. Comfy beds perfect for a one- or two-night stopover in Swellendam. Very close to the museum, excellent restaurants and other amenities. Our host Bessie was very helpful. We can definitely recommend this self-catering accommodation.

Well the welcoming of the owner was expectable

We didn't like the fact that their was no facilities for us to braai. It was a raining evening and the facilities they have for braai was near the pool with not much shadow, the shadow was out of sticks with wholes in between and was not nearly enough for us to use it at all.

Location was residential but not so far from town.

Lay out is awkward, someone’s kitchen is entryway for everyone. While this lacks privacy it also forces you to meet other guests which can be kind of nice. Bessie was a graceful host.

Our stay at 33 Berg was an incredible experiencethe best we've had in a long time. Aunty Bessie, the hostess, was extremely helpful and polite, making us feel warmly welcomed. She gave us a grand tour of the room where we stayed overnight. The place was spotless and well-maintained, including the bathroom. I would highly recommend 33 Berg to family and friends. Once again, thank you, Aunty Bessie, for your hospitality!

Bessie was so friendly and welcoming. She gave us a perfect tour - all the info we needed, but not overload. The room was perfect for two adults and one baby. The bathroom is not private to the sleeping area, but that was fine for us. Beautiful grounds and walking access to coffee shops and restaurants. Bessie even provided us with some homemade rusks.
