The staff were friendly and very assisting

It is centrally located, close to shops and restaurants.

Owner was not there to open for us, his son had to open. Previous guests empty cold drink bottles were still under the bed. Room indicated on suite bathroom with shower, but only had a bath and the pain was peeling off. Noise on first night of stay.

Beautiful, centrally located and very well-priced. Staff are very friendly and accommodating, House on Plein is well managed!

The Place needs a lot of upgrade since it an old house. They need to upgrade the rooms and make it more cozy Maybe if they had a TV in the cottage it would have been better and stronger Wifi. (wifi only worked strongly once in the main house) Also since it was cold, I would suggest that the cottage has a heating system.

What did I like? I liked Nothing about this place. Hated it. I wish I could rate it ZERO!!!

The most disappointing accommodation experience my family and I have ever had. We booked a room for 4people, costing just over R4,900, and were initially excited based on the images and description provided online. Unfortunately, the reality was the complete opposite. From the moment we arrived, we were horrified by the condition of the room. It was absolutely filthy – from the ceilings to the floors, walls, and windows. The room contained four single beds crammed into one space, offering no privacy at all. To make matters worse, we were expected to share a bathroom with guests in the adjacent room – a detail that was never mentioned in the listing. The shared bathroom was in an appalling state: filthy, poorly maintained, and strewn with the alcohol bottles, ice bags, and other mess left behind by the other occupants, who were hosting some sort of party. The bathroom mat was disgustingly dirty, and it was clear that the space hadn’t been properly cleaned in a long time. Inside our room, things were no better. A broken window that couldn’t be closed made the space unbearably cold at night. The bedding was dusty and appeared unchanged for months. The kettle was leaking, causing water to spill dangerously on the surfaces. When we raised these concerns with the caretaker, instead of offering assistance or an apology, he became defensive, denied our claims, and even insinuated that we were responsible for the dirty bedding. The general condition of the house was extremely poor – dimly lit, unkempt, and disorganized. There were random groceries lying around in hallways, contributing to the overall impression of chaos and neglect. The entire property looked like it hadn’t been cleaned or maintained in months. Despite these severe issues, we were refused any form of refund – even though we left after just one night of the four we had booked. The environment was simply uninhabitable. It was difficult to sleep, uncomfortable to use the bathroom, and impossible to feel safe.
