We did not arrive at Kliphuijs Richmond, as we were informed that the entire town did not have Electricity or Water. But our gracious host moved us to their sister hotel in Hanover.

Everything! Nashville was welcoming and very helpful! All staff were polite and helpful. Spotlessly clean, neat and cared for hotel. Loved the gardens and all lounges. Dinner and breakfast delicious. Love to stay longer next time.

Nothing. Electricity went off with the rain and there was no water, but staff came to the rescue with hot and cold water. Not their fault at all.

Everything. The attention to detail is exceptional — from the beautifully styled rooms and luxurious, comfortable bed to the stunning bathroom finishes. The atmosphere is warm, peaceful and thoughtfully curated in every corner. The outdoor spaces are just as impressive, with the gorgeous pool area, soft evening lighting and tranquil garden setting creating the perfect place to unwind. Even the food was outstanding. It truly felt like a boutique escape where every detail was carefully considered.

Honestly? That we couldn’t stay longer!
