The property was as advertised. It was clean and beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the patio area behind our room looking out over the vines.

Room was nice, good aircon, shared veranda overlooking grape vines, all kitchen facilities catered for. Secure parking.

Welcome wasnt great. Were met with a big gate and needed access to a phone to get in ( number on gate) Were quickly shown our room and which keys which as well as told where to leave the keys on check out. Felt like the host was inconvenienced by our arrival, and did not want to linger to answer our questions about the area. We found De Doorns to be more of a convenient stop off , than a destination. Veranda could be wonderful with a bit of privacy screening between rooms as the view is beautiful but felt like no privacy onto bedroom

The pillows and bed throws smelled as though they hadn't been washed in years. There is little information about the lack of convenience stores in the area, and that the only place to get food would be the Wimpy at the Engen garage and little else at the store.

The unit is well equipped with almost everything you can think of to make your self-catering experience feel as if you're at home. The stoep/verandah is a comfortable place to relax with a glass of wine while overlooking the vineyards and mountains.

I prefer a completely dark room to have a peaceful sleep. Unfortunately, both the bathroom and front door have blinds that do not block out the light from the security light that burns all night. So I missed my deep sleep.

The main adult bed was much too hard for us, And the other room could not be darkend Main door was not having a decent door lock and as a consequence the feeling of safety was missing
