Heschuk Guest House

I had the most exceptional stay. I've been to India on many occasions: this is the best place I have ever stayed. Padme, the manager, is supremely helpful, checking out how you are (adjusting to the altitude), booking taxis etc. The food at the Guest House is exceptional: very tasty and inexpensive. There's a good roof terrace with super views of the mountains around Leh. Highly recommended.

The only possible downside is that the Guest House is around 20/25 minutes uphill walk from Leh itself. It didn't bother me one bit, and you can always get a taxi from Leh, but it might be something to bear in mind.

Great staff with excellent food and beautiful property. The rooms and the common room were very welcoming. The owner helped me with my itinerary.

Only wish I could stay there for more days

The host Padma is an incredible human being, she goes out of her ways to ensure that we feel warm and comfortable. The location is amazing, food is amazing,host is amazing I can just go on and on Very grateful to her for her warm hospitality and we can't wait to be back here ❤️

I planned to stay just a few days in Heschuk, but I kept coming back. Acham and her family made me feel at home. The food was homemade and delicious, the room was the best of my trip in Ladakh, and they cared for me like family. I can’t recommend this place enough!

The owner is very lovely and helped us out many times, we kept returning to Heschuk :) also the food is delicious!

Super beautiful house with a view of the mountains just outside the business of Leh (but still walking distance)

I think it is typical for Leh, at night there are lots of barking dogs and it needs good ear plugs to not here them…;-)
