The "hotel" is in a convenient central location but there's no parking provided and it's difficult to find parking in Alba. The room was large and attractive. Breakfast was just okay and was always the same. We did have dinner at the restaurant one night and it was excellent.

We stayed over a weekend during the annual Truffle Festival. It would have been nice if management had told us ahead of time that we needed to book restaurants far in advance. When I asked the manager Thursday to help book something for Saturday night since nothing seemed to have availability, I was told that it's not an actual hotel and they don't have time to provide that service. He relented and agreed to check at one of the well-known trattorias. He confirmed that there was a spot for us, but when we went at the reserved time, the owner told us that we didn't have a reservation, she was fully booked and that she had communicated that to the manager when he contacted her. We ended up with no reservation on the busiest night of the festival and were very lucky to get into an okay osteria. The hotel only has three rooms but was understaffed to support them. One lady was responsible for setting up and serving breakfast, cleaning the rooms; then setting up for lunch. Our room never got cleaned because we wanted to shower after breakfast and her schedule only permitted a very narrow window for cleaning when breakfast was over. The room itself was clean but the huge shower was very moldy. The floor is polished marble and very slippery when wet and soapy. I fell in the shower on our first morning. I sprained my upper arm and got a huge bruise on my hip and upper thigh. I never reported it because the English speaking manager didn't seem to be around until dinner when the restaurant was slammed. The lady who interacted with the guests at breakfast only speaks Italian.

The room was large, beautifully decorated and comfortable. And the owner’s restaurant downstairs was delicious. I was terribly jet-lagged and slept an hour past check out. They were so polite and didn’t make me feel bad for overstaying my welcome. I truly appreciated that. I would happily stay again.

There’s no reception desk but the owners were completely accessible by phone. It’s best to let the hotel know when you plan to check in so you can arrange everything.

Amazing location right in the centre of Alba. the owners and staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. would recommend eating at the restaurant also.

I liked the prompt reaction and attentive attitude of the owners, on top of the excellent quality of the room.
