Ligging is perfect !

I recently had the pleasure of staying at "Borgo Martino" apartment nestled in the historic center of Bari. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with a genuine sense of welcome that made me feel right at home. Donatella, the owner and Domenica greeted us with the warmest hospitality. The hosts are warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the area. Their recommendations for local attractions and dining were spot-on, and their genuine care for guests' experiences was evident throughout our stay. The location couldn’t be more perfect. Situated in the heart of Bari’s old town. The room was clean and equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. It’s a perfect choice for anyone looking to experience the rich history and vibrant culture of this beautiful city. I wholeheartedly recommend this gem to anyone visiting Bari <3

Loved the location and beautiful place!!

Location

The room was located in the antic part of the city near the city center and the main atractions. The room was clean. The staff was great, very friendly.

The location was very central. It was also very unique as the experience was just how the Italians in the old centre live. The owners brother was very helpful and even drove us to the airport at the end of our stay for a good price.

Being very authentic it was very dark once you shut your door. The bathroom was very enclosed and so did not get very ventilated.

The location was good at the outer edge of the old city, however this also meant that it was in a busy thoroughfare. The front door opens directly into the room so every time you went in or out there were other people walking past peering in. This also leads to the noise issue.

Communication from the property owners prior to arriving was non-existent despite my attempt to contact them the day before with our updated arrival time. It didn't improve when we arrived as I had to call a couple of times to get access to the property with the address stating on the documentation that it was number 5, when it was actually number 7 (number 5 was already in use). The provided breakfast was a pastry and coffee at a local bar approx a 3 minute walk away. My son doesn't drink coffee so got water, with any other substitution being at an extra (full) cost. The space is really too small for 3 people with nowhere for luggage and knicknacks (which did dress the room nicely) taking up most of the shelf space. There was a coffee maker, kettle and fridge, but only one of these could be plugged in at any one time. The bathroom was also very small. Being close to the street with little to no soundproofing meant there was a lot of noise coming in from the street and as we were there on a weekend the noise went on for quite some time into the night. This property is best suited for a couple who intend to be up late and not in the rooms much.
