Staff and food exceptional, atmosphere very friendly. Everyone was very helpful and if the staff are happy then the whole place feels welcoming

My room was fine except the noise throughout the night caused by the fridge or freezer motor coming on and off all the time. My room backed out over the back of the kitchen. To stop the noise I tried closing the windows but then cooked as too hot. The outside lights were on all night, blinds were in the windows but the light came through the bathroom although blinds were there too, again I tried closing the bathroom door but got too hot again. A shame because everything else was really great

The same family has owned this hotel for over 150 years if my arithmetic is correct and it shows. The room was spotlessly clean, the welcome effortlessly professional, food tasty and varied, and the welcome genuinely warm. It's in a lovely location too and has a great bar and terrace.

Stayed previously

Food was lovely, room was a little dated, but comfortable enough. Large walk in shower was great. Brilliant position for getting to the beach, canals and town.
