Greeted by an untidy outside area to park Walked into the kitchen to a damp BO type smell and a room in need to decoration - it was clean and functional but a small amount of effort repainting and generally making the area look tidy and smart would transform the room at little cost The room again was generally clean but in need of general paining and decorating to bring it up to scratch. Really useful to have a fridge and a kettle, tea and coffee supplies were refilled each day. We were amazed to be asked to leave our key on a hook in the communal hall when we went out meaning our room would have been accessible to all - I am quite able to look after a key and not lose it! We were told there was a key safe with the code of 1000 - we were in Room 1 - I expect the code for Room 2 was 2000 or something similar. When we went out for the day I was very disappointed to return and find my door unlocked - meaning anything left inside was not secure. This is something I find totally unprofessional and untrusting of visitors that they were unable to look after a key!! Overall the stay was functional and generally clean - the host was pleasant and the breakfast and refreshments in the kitchen were a useful facility. The whole accommodation could be lovely if it were spruced up and generally brought up to date with modern fittings and quality paintwork where needed.

Towels were dirty. I asked for cleaner ones. The replacements were also dirty and discoloured with dirt. Cleanliness needs improvement.

Good location as near our friend’s house. The bedding was clean although well used and the bed was comfy enough.

It needs a lot of maintenance. Huge damp patches on the ceiling, needs painting and the towels need replacing. Breakfast was help yourself from some cupboards but only until 9 am. We didn’t have breakfast and didn’t shower.
