Alam Dewa

Alam Dewa was an exceptional homestay. I stayed for one month and found it to be very comfortable. The family that runs the homestay was really kind and helpful. They provided breakfast everyday and were very accommodating to my requests. The room was bright and spacious. The location of the guesthouse is perfect. I could easily walk to the yoga studio that I was attending courses at in Penestanan and also a short walk to Ubud center. Lots of restaurants and shops around the corner.

Could have used a mini refrigerator in the room as I was staying for a long time and would have liked to use it to put snacks or leftovers in, but it didn't deter my experience by any means. I was still very happy staying there for a month.

The host family were very friendly and kind people. The room was spotless with a beautiful view over the valley. The breakfast was delicious and filling. Close walking distance to both town and hiking in the rice fields or ridge. Recommend

Super spacious room and great balcony overlooking the tree tops. Spacious bathroom as well. Rooms were very clean with a huge bed, although the mattress was hard as a rock. Cold and quiet AC. Breakfast was fantastic. A couple eggs and toast with a selection of tropical fruits with tea and coffee.

A bar fridge would have been nice as there was nowhere to keep cold stuff. Area is very quiet but rooms easily let noise in. I had a guy making a phone call back to France at 4am and could hear every word of the conversation. Very annoying when your trying to sleep. I would imagine most of the time it's ok, but if you get someone like that making 4am calls it can ruin your stay. He wasn't talking particularly loud, it's just the noise comes into the room easily. Also there is no reception. I was a little confused as to what room I was in and how to get in. Eventually I caught the attention of the lady next door who came over and let me in, which is fine, but would have been nice to have that communicated to me earlier.

Hosts are lovely and kind people. Very accomodating. They made yummy breakfasts.

The shower drain in our room was blocking/very slow draining and so water would sit for a while.

Nice view, clean rooms, excellent breakfast, courteous and friendly and helpful staff. I can recommend this place as a good place to stay over.

Very steep and slippery steps to the property which is towards the back of the main building.

I really like the spot, it is close to Alchemy yoga center. It’s not noisy and the green is plenty.

The bed was to hard for me.

It’s so peaceful! I was very surprised considering it’s right in the heart of Ubud. Everything is walking distance yet you can come home to beautiful nature and peace. The breakfast was amazing, the owners are adorable and so kind. The bed is comfortable, the room is lovely and pristine clean.I felt right at home here and decided to extend my stay. I’m thrilled with this place!

Best location, incredibly clean and new, extremely comfortable bed the best I’ve slept on all over Bali. Wonderful breakfast, very kind staff. Quiet from traffic but nature sounds are strong ! :)
