Location was good for walking into city centre. Local, independent shops and places to eat; small, well-known supermarket close by. Healthy, tasty breakfast options. Comfortable bed. Herbal teas. Chocolate treats. Hot shower with good pressure in ensuite 'bathroom'.

I found everything exceptional! The food was very well presented! The decor was delightful! The mattress was extremely comfortable! All in all- a brilliant guest house!

Mike is an excellent host. Cooked breakfast amazing and tasty. Very clean and comfortable.

Nothing to dislike.

The room was excellent - very comfortable. I liked the fact that a very pretty china mug (William Morris Strawberry Thief" design) was provided for making drinks. The bed was comfortable and the ensuite was excellent, although the toilet was at a slightly awkward angle and the area around it a little cramped. I liked the provision of tea, coffee, kettle, which was at a table I could also use as a writing desk. Breakfast was excellent on Saturday morning (Eggs Benedict) and on Sunday. Mike is a pleasant and helpful host, and there were other places apart from one's own room where guests could sit.

I should have checked the distance between the guest house and the city centre prior to booking - it is a 20-minute walk, but this is not impossible to accomplish! I had to get taxis several times. There could have been a little more storage for clothes in the room and more coat-hangers provided. A little more fruit at the breakfast bar would have been nice - bananas, berries, etc. All in all, however, I was very satisfied with the accommodation.
