Villa Rosa

For us the location was great. It was high up on a hill, looking over the river and woodlands - the scenery is just stunning. All the staff were very friendly and attentive to our questions and requests during our stay. The dinner was remarkable too. We ended up having dinner at the hotel on both nights of our stay, which we usually don’t do at the same place twice. Get up early to have a quick dip into the infinity in the morning to enjoy the tranquility of the nature to yourself.

Best breakfast we had in Sri Lanka! Rooms super comfortable, well equipped and incredible views. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating our requests. Hope to be back soon!

Super Lage & Ausblick. Aussenanlage top ist aussergewöhnlich toll. Das Personal macht einen super Job, sehr aufmerksam und kompetent. Uns wurde bei allen Anliegen umgehend geholfen. Einzig der Preis des sehr leckeren Abendessens empfanden wir als sehr hoch.

Die Villa Rosa ist sehr schön und ruhig gelegen. Die Zimmer sind großzügig und stielvoll eingerichtet, mit bequemen Betten. Wir wurden super freundlich empfangen und bekamen gute Tipps, sowie Hilfe bei der Organisation der Weiterreise. Auch das Essen war super lecker.

We were upgraded from one of the cheaper rooms to (what seemed like) the nicest room in the hotel, which was absolutely beautiful and very large. The views of the river and hillside are stunning, both from the lovely pool, dining terrace and from the upper floor windows. The staff were extremely polite and helpful, and the food was delicious (we ate Sri Lankan Rice and Curry both nights, which consisted of many different and varied dishes, but they will also make you other food if you prefer). The pictures online are also very accurate. Overall, an amazing experience.

The drive up to the hotel is fairly steep and narrow, just something to be aware of. But our driver had no issue getting up there in a normal-sized saloon car.

This place is stunning! Everything was fantastic - the rooms, grounds, meals, and staff. It's a beautiful, calming oasis and was exactly what we needed after the hustle and bustle of Kandy city centre. We were made to feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. We ate both breakfast and dinner and both were fantastic, with beautiful views over the lake. We stayed for two nights and our only regret was not staying longer.

Absolutely nothing- this was the best place we stayed in Sri Lanka!
