Villa Elena

The house is really comfy and nicely decorated in a great location (10 minute walk into the centre of Potes). Elena is a great host and cooked delicious breakfasts every morning. Our bedroom was wonderfully light and we had views of the mountains. We visited in March and were the only guests but the house was very peaceful and calm.

There is nothing we didn’t like. The house is nearer the road than we expected but this means that it is very quick and easy to get to Potes by foot.

Elena is an excellent host: the whole accommodation was very clean and comfortable; the room and bathroom were vacuumed and freshened daily by Elena. We particularly enjoyed the breakfasts prepared by Elena who is a very good cook. Breakfast typically consisted of: fresh fruit, tea/coffee, juice, a hot dish such as omelette, toast and a homemade sweet. The food was delicious, beautifully presented and clearly prepared with care and attention. Elena was friendly, welcoming and helpful in regard to suggestions of things to see and do in the local area. Villa Elena is very conveniently located with off-road parking, just a five minute walk from the centre of Potes. Although on the main road we were not at all disturbed by traffic noise (our room overlooked the road) and the view of the hill opposite and garden surrounding the villa are very pleasant. The location of the accommodation makes it a great base for exploring Potes and the eastern side of the Picos de Europa. We would be very happy to return to Villa Elena.

Elena was a wonderful hostess! She had great recommendations and was so friendly. We really enjoyed our stay. So nice to stay somewhere with the comforts of home while traveling abroad. Great breakfast too!

Nothing, everything was wonderful!

The location was spectacular with great views of the mountains around Potes, especially from our bathroom window. It was just a short walk from the centre of Potes and so very convenient but in a very quiet and tranquil part of town. The villa itself is a beautiful old house, very tastefully decorated with a light and spacious downstairs sitting area for relaxing. Our room was so comfortable, the bed was lovely and the mattress super comfy. Having a large sofa in there also made it feel very at home. The sunny mirador and spacious bathroom made it feel very luxurious. We didn't have the breakfast but when we came downstairs the following morning, we saw the tables all laid out and servings of fresh fruit for each place setting. So we then kind of wished we had! Our host (we assumed this was Elena) was super welcoming and friendly. All in all, we had a great experience at Villa Elena and we will definitely be back.

We could not fault it for anything really. It was easy to find, perfectly located and all in all a super, relaxing experience. Everything you want for a mini-break away.

Elena is a wonderful host. So welcoming. Advice on where to go in the area. The breakfast was amazing. Her house is full of character with original features. Immaculately clean and tidy. Can’t put into words how beautiful it is.
