Onsen! A relatively high-temperature onsen provided a refreshing bath after I walked up to the hostel (which I don't recommend for anyone with luggage). A private 40-minute bath is great! I love the breakfast and the hostel's cleanliness. The facilities are well-equipped in both the common area and the rooms. My favourite things are the onsen, the view, and the breakfast. You must try the breakfast here if you stay!

That's my bad for ignoring the message about the steep slope for walking up to the hostel from the JR. It's a bit tiring to walk up with a small luggage. I thought my hiking experience might be helpful, but not much. It's fine without luggage or walking down from the hostel. Also, the path from Minami-Ito (South Ito) is shorter and less steep. However, that's why you can capture a lovely view from the hilltop, looking out to the city and sea.

Omotenashi - alles was dieser Begriff umfasst haben wir hier erfahren dürfen. Wir haben uns so sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Frühstück war ein Traum, jedes Mal ein bisschen anders, jedesmal besonders lecker. Auch das Abendessen ist sehr zu empfehlen. Auf jeden Fall ein Highlight unserer Japanreise.

Amazing breakfast!

Très bon séjour, nous étions seuls dans une chambre de 4, elle était très confortable. Il y avait même une très belle vue. Nous avons profité du onsen privé. Tout le nécessaire sur place.

L’hôtel est situé tout en haut de Shimoda, donc la montée à pied était un peu fatigante.

Kind staff and nice happy hour and free coffee/tea. I loved the women’s private bath.

One of the best hostels I stayed at during my two month trip across Japan. Cheap, and incredibly comfortable. Ato and Yoshi were incredibly friendly and helped me so much! I relaxed so much here that I booked an additional night. I would return if I come back to Japan.
