Glenburnie House

We just spent two lovely evenings at Glenburnie House overlooking the Bay with Graham and Dan, two of the most charming and accommodating hosts one could hope for. No reasonable request was beyond their capacity, the room was well fitted out, the bed comfortable, the view exquisite, and the short stroll into town along the promenade is something I shall certainly remember and miss. It is quiet and peaceful, there’s a wonderful Italian restaurant, Porcini, two doors down that Graham recommended our first night there that was a treat, especially for two weary travelers from New Mexico who had spent the better part of a day and a half to arrive. I recommend Glenburnie without hesitation, but recommend you make a reservation, as this is a popular venue, and for good reason.

Hosts very welcoming and kindly accommodated my mobility issues. The room was lovely but very full. Not a lot of room to move. No available plugs in bedroom. Lovely bonus sitting room looking out over the bay. The linens were exceptional.

Great location, the hosts were so friendly and welcoming, the room was beautiful and immaculate. We really appreciated having the mini fridge.

Everything about this property was excellent. Graeme and Dan were super hosts, providing all the necessary information to make our stay seamless. The house is gorgeously kept and the hosts are special people. We only wish that we could have stayed longer!

Glenburnie House is a lovely place to stay! It’s feels like an old Scottish inn should, with character and fine furnishings. The hosts are very helpful with local information. We’ll stay here again.

Dan and Graeme and their property in Oban was perfect! Lovely setting looking at the water. Very comfortable, clean and cosy.

A vintage Scottish home with high ceilings and a separate sitting area out of the bedroom. The location right on the bay was spectacular. We very much enjoyed sitting on the front sitting area enjoying our wine and appreciating the scenery. Graeme met us upon our slightly early check in and was extremely gracious and helpful.

For us,all was good. To be fair to others who might not be as mobile, the walk to town was about 10 minute, but very enjoyable.

We had a lovely welcome from Graham. The guest house is perfectly located and a beautiful building. Our room was really comfortable and relaxing. There were so many small touches that we really appreciated.
