BAYT ZAINA - Nubian hospitality house

The location is great, with amazing views! People from the island were very friendly and we enjoyed walking around. The room was very clean with good views. Breakfast was quite good and the staff very friendly. We booked a falucca for an hour with Mohammed and it was lovely! We really enjoyed our time with him.

Be careful if they offer to take you somewhere by motor boat, and ask for the price first. You can end up paying an overpriced drive. We just asked for information about how to get to the desert (which is right in front of the hotel) and ended up paying 600EGP without previous notice.

Great location, quiet, clean, great Nile view from terrace, wonderful host, friendly, welcoming, speaks good English. Place is on Elephantine Island, but host personally picked us up with private water taxi, helped us with luggage, at no extra charge. Also arranged water taxi to train station as we left the island. Breakfast included.

Room is just a little bit small for two people. Island has only walking paths; sometimes feels your in a maze. Poor selection of restaurants and grocery stores on island.

Nice hotel, just a bit remote. Room was very clean. Nice view from the roof top. Team is very nice.

Charming place to stay on the relaxing Elephantine island. Kind and helpful owner and staff helped with trips and other questions. Also, good communication before we arrived. A great place to relax with fabulous views of the Nile from the rooftop. Hope to be back.

Excellent views of the river and west bank, really nice restaurant (Nile view) with the best price/quality of food in our opinion. Our room had a view to the river and balcony and was really nice.

Breakfast could've had a bit more variety, didn't like so much the bread, instead of using normal bread, we had a kind of milk bread
