Great place with great view!

Just no wifi during my stay, besides that everything was good

This place is awesome! The whole layout of the place is unique because it's situated on an island called Elephantine Island, which one can access easily with ferries. The place is very beautiful and peaceful right among nature. The surrounding spots are great and beautiful places for sightseeing. Even the Nile River has cold and refreshing water that are good for swimming. The people of the guesthouse are so friendly, helpful, always smiling and happy it doesn't feel like a hotel at all, because it is just like it's name - hospitality guesthouse. Even the facilities of the place felt so authentic. The owner of the guesthouse has been fantastic for us for arranging for us to visit Philae Temple, Abu Simbel Temple and Kalabsha Temple, our group were particularly happy for he went out of his way to make sure he got the passes for us to get entry into Kalabsha Temple after the Egyptian government stopped entries into the temple for any tourists. All our trips, breakfasts, transports, ferries and time schedules were handled for us so it made our stay easy and enjoyable!

The staff and people ,loved the Nubian people. It was the perfect location.

Gasser is a gracious and excellent host and his staff are very helpful. Even though I arrived very late, Gasser greeted me on the other side of the river and I was taken by boat around the corner. I had to leave early each morning but the staff will prepare a generous breakfast bag for you to take away, just let them know. In the reception area, there is a fridge with lots of chilled bottled water, you can help yourself. The hotel overlooks the river and the views are exceptional. I would say this is the best place to see the Nile river. Also by the guest house is the Nile View hotel which has a restaurant right by the river - the chef cooked an excellent dinner of fried fish, one of best meals I had in all my time in Egypt. This is a really good place to stay if you are travelling on a budget and highly recommend to anyone who wants to stay on Elephantine Island at Aswan. To get on and off the island, starting from 6am, the local ferry is a 15-minute walk away and costs 10 EGP one-way.

This is a budget hotel and for the views alone is very good value for money, but note the bathroom is very small. It didn't bother me but just bear this in mind.

I was all over Egypt for 3 weeks, and this was my favorite place - even when compared to fancy hotels in Luxor - because they are so well organized. Mohammed was great. The trips we organized through them were cheaper than on sites like Viator, and offered pickup directly from the island. You should definitely plan trips through them. Elephantine island itself was also very nice and I highly recommend staying there over the mainland. Also, the A/C was powerful enough even when it was 42 outside.

Everything was great! It's not anything special and Luxurius but it's exactly what I needed! It's peaceful and beautiful. Amazing views of the Nile and it's offering peace and quiet! I'm going back for sure ! My favorite part of the hotel was Mohamed! I met him the first day, he was the one making breakfast! He took me on a private sunset feloucca ride and it was the best experience ever. Also he was the one that I always called for my rides back and forth from the island ! Definitely recommended!

Friendly staff who is most accomodating. They picked me up from the trainstation late in the evening.
