Nice homestay in Kandy. They helped me to organise a tuk-tuk tour in Kandy and a hike in the Knuckles mountains range.

There is no option for dinner but you can have dinner in other homestays nearby

The location was good; high up but walkable into the town (if mobility issues then tuk tuk would be needed).the owner and staff were lovely and hospitable. Lovely view. Mosquito net.

No bottled water. No toilet paper (had to ask) No soap No kettle No hot water for the duration of our stay

The sound insulation is too poor, and I was woken up by dogs, crows, and monkeys in the middle of the night. The hot water I drank was provided for free for the first time, and the remaining 250 rupees per pot (the owner said she couldn't argue because the hot water consumed her electricity). The air conditioning was an additional paid service that cost $6 per night. Overall, I recommend everyone to stay at King of Kandy, where my friends live very well.

Staying here is like visiting your grandma’s house (in a good way). This accommodation has been meeting the needs of budget travellers for a long time. The owner and her small team of charming staff go out of their way to make you feel at home. Most rooms open out onto shared balconies and there are common areas on each floor, with sofas and dining tables - the perfect place to relax after a morning exploring the sights. I had a room with a Juliet balcony that looked through the lovely stairwell to the nearby hillside. The building is kept cool by breezes and a fan is all you need at night. A 10 minute walk from the city centre or 20 minute walk to the train station. Tuk tuks are readily available on the street. Do make use of the excellent trekking company located on site. I did a wonderful one day trek through the villages, farmlands and forests in the Knuckles foothills.

Spacious clean rooms with everything you need. We also had a common area. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is pretty good. Kanti who is the owner is an amazing woman with beautiful energy. She helped us arrange some trips and was always taking care of us. We felt very welcomed, comfortable and save.

We had a wonderful room. The lady who runs the place was extremly friendly and helpful with information. The bed was very comfortable and the location with a 5 mim walk to the lake just perfect. Really recommadable!
