Mount Haven

Ein wunderschönes Haus mit tollen, großen Zimmern und schönen Ausblick über die Stadt. Den Zahntempel ereicht man in 30 Minuten zu Fuß. Das Besitzerehepaar ist sehr freundlich und hat uns wertvollen Tipps versorgt. Das Haus liegt schön ruhig, was sehr angenehm ist, wenn man dem Trubel der Stadt entfliehen möchte. Da wir bereits früh weitergereist sind, konnten wir unser Frühstück sogar mitnehmen. Wenn nochmal Kandy, dann wieder hier. :)

Nie ma takiej rzeczy, która w tym miejscu by nas nie zachwyciła. W Mount Haven czuliśmy się wspaniale. Zaczynajac od pokoju z widokiem na góry, przez zaangażowanie właścicieli, którzy świetnie pomogli nam zorganizować czas w Kandy i polecili wspaniałego kierowcę - dzięki niemu udało nam się zobaczyć dużo więcej niż zakładaliśmy ❤️ Właściciele to wspaniali i ciepli ludzie, zaopiekowali się mną, kiedy zaczęło się moje przeziębienie. A do tego śniadania były przepyszne i dopasowane do naszych potrzeb. Mam nadzieję że kiedyś tu jeszcze wrócimy 😁

Amazing stay in Kandy, one of our favourite accommodations in Sri Lanka. The hosts are very helpful and friendly and they welcomed us with a nice drink and we had a lovely chat and they even helped to treat my wife's wound which recovered quickly. Spacious rooms with good facilities, good bathroom, nice views and very very delicious breakfast in the morning. All this was very good value for money, so we would definitely recommend it to anyone coming to Kandy!!

The hosts were nice and well travelled, and it was nice to meet with other travellers. They helped organise a tuk tuk for us to visit some local and further away spots, as well as a tuk tuk for our early morning train.

Privacy - the door to our room did not have a proper lock - and could be opened with a safety pin (or needle). The curtains didn't close properly so we always felt like someone could be standing on the other side of the window watching us (the pictures seem to give the perception of a balcony but this was not true - we were on the ground floor). The shower curtain was stained with brown marks and the bathtub drain didn't drain properly. The floor and bed sheets were also not clean. The hosts did not remind us that we hadn't pre-paid for breakfast (which we forgot with our many bookings across our stay in Sri Lanka) and then just added the charge to our bill when we were leaving. We would have acquired our own breakfast had they reminded us.

Honestly what an amazing amazing place, both Nimal and Lanka were superb hosts throughout my two day stay, beautiful house not far from the city centre just a short tuk tuk journey away. Lovely Sri Lankan breakfast made each morning. Have to mention Lalith who was just such a wonderful man driving me around the city showing me all the sights in his trusted tuk tuk. I couldn’t recommended enough. Thank you all so much

Je wordt verwelkomt door een oude koppel die de homestay runnen. Meneer helpt je graag op weg om maximaal te genieten van je verblijf en de activiteiten voor te stellen in de omgeving van Kandy. De 2de dag hadden we het genoegen om kennis te maken met Lalith, een zeer vriendelijke, rustige chauffeur van onze Tuktuk naar Nuwara Eliya. Onderweg liet hij ons de bijzonderheden zien. Lalith is echt een aanrader om mee op pad te gaan. Heel warme en behulpzame man. We gaven aan dat we een tea factory wilden bezoeken, maar geen te drukke en hij nam ons ook meteen mee naar een plaats die volledig voldeed aan onze verlangens.

The owners were lovely and helped me when my husband was ill, they were kind and knowledgeable. Also their tuk tuk driver was really good.
