Applinger Farm

The location was beautiful and the room was set up nicely. We were greeted on arrival and offered carrots to feed the horses. Then shown the room. The deck was also very nice and the sound of the little fountain was a nice touch, as was the glider seating under the tree. Just a peaceful relaxing stay. I wish we had more time to enjoy the property, but was visiting family in town.

The water when first using the bathroom did not look good, but cleared after lots of flusing and running water in the sink. Once it cleared it was fine the rest of our stay. Probably just on a well and could be done before guest arrival.

This is basically an "airbnb" unit which is part of a house on a large property. In this case, the hosts run it very well: it's super clean and John was very friendly and accommodating. There are lots of little extras such as various goodies in the unit and offering carrots to feed the horses that really show they care about their guests.

Great accomadations with friendly and helpful hosts. It was fun feeding carrots to the horses. The hot tub was relaxing after a long drive.

The hosts greeted us were very amiable and warm. The room was decorated nicely and came with snacks, tea, and coffee. It’s set in a peaceful, beautiful farm. We enjoyed feeding the horses and hot tubs with spa robs were available as well! No wonder this was our second time. Lisa generously gave us some homemade muffins since we needed to leave early for a long drive home. Highly recommended.

Beautiful countryside, peaceful location and within minutes of Ashland restaurants and attractions. The cabin-like room was ultra-clean and attractively decorated. Lisa provides a welcoming atmosphere; in addition to the usual coffee/tea selection, there was a thoughtful snack selection, loads of fresh towels. The landscaping was a gorgeous mixture of flowers, lavender and trees. The friendly trio of horses were a kick; we think the provided carrots were a great inducement for them to allow us to get close and pet them.

I absolutely loved my stay here. Lisa is an amazing host. Waking up and seeing horses grazing outside while I was lying in bed was the highlight of my stay. Of course, I am a horse lover so that was a real joy. But Lisa welcomed my late arrival and greeted me as I drove up. I cannot say enough of how amazing and relaxing a stay Applinger Farm is.

Safe environment, super clean, easy access on and off hwy. We appreciate the homey touch, comfy bed, super strong water pressure for long hot shower.
