Not being given guidance to operate tv. Fire alarm going off at 3.45am with nobody around to say what was happening.

Great location, good food and super friendly staff

Nothing major, a few diy jobs need doing

The hotel is literally in the centre of town. The room was exactly as described on the website and in the website photos. The bed was comfortable. Plenty of tea, coffee, biscuits and bottled water provided in the room. Also toiletries thoughtfully provided in the bathroom. Friendly member of staff at the check in/bar. There was an issue with the heating in our room which she sorted out immediately. There is a long stay car park within a five minute walk.

Building work on the building opposite our room was very noisy (they started work at around 7.30am). I appreciate this was beyond the hotel’s control. The Wi-Fi in the room didn’t work for our two night stay which was a pain. The tv in the room was very small. There is nowhere to park or stop outside the hotel to drop off luggage. No lift in the hotel.

Excellent central location. Staff were friendly and attentive. The evening meal we had was excellent.

The bed in room 5 needs a new mattress. The music in the bar didn’t stop until 2am plus.

This was our second night - we had such a warm welcome, we extended our stay. As well as my previous comments, I wanted to say it’s one of the few places where you are not mean with the tea bags and milk. We had plenty for our stay. Many thanks!
