Tropical Fruit Garden

The best host ever. I have never seen such welcoming and helpful person before. Helped with everything: transportation, temporary accommodation, recomendations regarding places, etc. Told us some history facts and showed a little bit around the island. The place itself is very calm, close to the ocean and surrounded by fresh air. The best restaurant of the whole island is just 3 minutes by car to the mountains. Inside you have everything that may be needed. Free parking just close to the house. Washing machine with some detergent is also available - that may be useful if you are in the middle of your journey and need to refresh your clothes.

Almost nothing to say here. If it's too hot outside you may feel lack of air conditioning but that is not crucial and very rare situation for Azores. Numerous advantages and especially the attitude of the host cover everything.

We werden hartelijk ontvangen door de gastheer. Hij heeft ons rondgeleid op zijn plantage en konden proeven van de gewassen die hij verbouwt. Verder een goede en ruime verblijfplaats, redelijk centraal gelegen.

Lovely place with a lovely host! A perfect place to stay for a visit to magical São Jorge.

We totally loved our stay there and especially the tour and all the valuable knowledge we received in the huge Tropical Fruit garden! we look forward to returning back! Thank you for everything 🙏

i stayed one week at this lovely place and although the weather was not the best, i enjoyed every single day🤗 when i arrived, the owner welcomed me with some special and delicious fruits, i have never seen before and one day i got a private tour through the whole fruit garden which is very huge not only around the house, there is also a big plantation in the hills nearby and there are a lot more fruits of all kinds with mainly origin from brazil there is also a minimarket nearby and with the car you can explore this special island with its very dramatic and narrow streets and breathtaking villages on the coastline...

José and his wife were wonderful hosts! Very kind people, we even got a free tour around their farm which was amazing ! The facilities are impeccable too.

Jose is really friendly and welcoming. We arrived late at night and he was patiently waiting for us and still took the time to give us plenty of useful advice on what to visit on the island. The apartment is spacious and there is even a wash machine available to use. It is located in a nice area in the island, not far from a nice beach.

Bed was not the most comfortable. We also had a lots of ants but I don’t think they can do anything about it as it is summer. The place was really clean so it is surely not due to a lack of hygiene.

Large appartement well located in the middle of the island and close by the sea. The owner helped a lot to facilitate my stay and my visits on the island.
