Waihi Gold Alpacas 3 or 4 people

Posto meraviglioso con vista spettacolare sulla campagna circostante. Accoglienza magnifica: nonostante la prenotazione ad ora tarda siamo stati accolti in una cabina con ogni comfort. La mattina successiva il proprietario ci ha invitato a dare da mangiare ad alpaca, capre e pesci regalando momenti meravigliosi a noi ed alla nostra bimba di 5 anni che ha apprezzato tantissimo.

Everything. The quiet country location. The view. The alpacas. It was a beautiful place to stay. Very nice host who made sure we were comfortable.

We truly enjoyed our stay at this charming alpaca farm Airbnb in Waihi, conveniently close to Karangahake Gorge. The cabins are beautifully secluded, about a mile off the main road, offering a quiet and private retreat. Inside, they're small and intimate but packed with thoughtful touches – we especially appreciated the readily available drinking water, coffee/tea setup, and microwave, which made our short stay so much easier. Our host's attention to detail, like having the electric blankets on for our arrival, was a lifesaver after a cold and rainy day. A highlight was definitely the time our host took to let us feed the alpacas – an unforgettable experience!

While we wished there were interior connecting doors to avoid letting bugs in when moving between rooms, it was a minor point in an otherwise fantastic stay.

Neil is simply the BEST host! Met us on arrival with a warm smile and immediately invited us to feed the Alpacas. Also helped feed them and the goats in the morning too. What a treat! Accomodation is perfect, clean, tidy, peaceful.

There were no negative aspects.

The cabins were cosy with all the basics including a great shower and of course the stunning views. The alpacas were beautiful and definitely made this stay unforgettable. Such characters, a lot of fun feeding them and hearing stories about them from Neil who was an entertaining host. 10 mins to Waihi town and very close also to Karangahake Gorge tracks. Highly recommend this accommodation!

We had an amazing holiday here! The alpacas were right in front of our cabin, and the highlight of our stay was patting and feeding them. The cabin itself was clean and comfortable, the host was incredibly friendly, and the view was absolutely perfect.

Hands down one of the best experiences for my little family so far. Travelling the day before with 3 and 4 year old boys they definitely needed a chance to stretch their little legs and some fresh air and I couldn't have picked a better place for it! Neil greeted us as we arrived, let us settle in and took us for a walk around the farm to visit the Alpacas, goats and even the fish. The next morning he came and got us all to go feed all the animals and let me tell you I've never seen my boys so happy. In fact 2 weeks later they're still talking about Farmer Neil and his animals! Highly recommend for just a relaxing stay when travelling or even for locals looking for weekend retreat! Such a fun place to stay.

Private, scenic location. Alpacas were right across from us and very cute, there was even a new born Alpaca! Neil was made us feel very welcome and was generous with his time feeding the Alpacas and showing us around.
