Stag Coach House

Very good value. No frills, clean and comfortable. Ideal for my fishing trip.

The location was near to where I was meeting friends following a long charity bike ride.

It said B&B but I was informed on arrival that there was no breakfast and that the pub next door would no longer cook a breakfast. Room 6 only has a very small velux window which was “screwed shut” and I stayed on the hottest day of the year with no fresh air! The pillows had black marks/stains on and the shower although working ok had huge amounts of rubber sealant everywhere which was very badly applied and very unsightly. The mixer tap on the sink did not supply hot water no matter which way I turned the tap. If there had been a fire outside the door of room 6 then with the velux window screwed shut I fail to see any emergency exit and I didn’t see any emergency exit instructions or information.

Great friendly pub next door. Beautiful location

Bed sheet bobble, blood on bed throw. Breakfast poor, buffet style and dry, bacon undercooked. No staff around for any queries.
