Close to ski lifts, affordable and friendly service. Use of of Onsen close by was convenient.

Great location by the lift. You get tickets for the onsen next door for each day! The hotel is homey and japanese style room cosy, but its very noisy when people move in the hallways early/late, ear plugs didn't help...

After six nights at the Shin Furano Prince Hotel with my family I moved into Furusato Furano Furano for some extra days skiing as they headed back to Tokyo. I was not disappointed. Having stayed at Shin Furano Prince Hotel which was an overpriced tourist trap without any Japanese charm Furusato Furano Furano was a welcome change and extremely good value. It is spotlessly clean, full of character and very convenient. It is right by the gondola you can ski to the door. The room has a TV (Japanese) safe box, and cosy heater. There's a free washing machine - even the washing powder is free to use. The room comes with free access to the Hotel Natuwald outside onsen. The owners sell beers, coffees and even frozen microwave meals. There are several restaurants, bars and a Lawsons all within walking distance. It really is a good little place and I did not miss the Shin Furano Prince Hotel at all.

This traditional hotel is right next door to Naturalwald Hotel. Yusei and his wife Masumi are the nicest people to run a hotel. They make an effort with the guests, they also speak English and are extremely helpful. Buy the lift tickets here they are cheaper just tell and pay them the night before. Yusei is a talented woodcrafter with some pieces for sale in the foyer and has travelled the whole of Australia, he relates well. The accomodation is traditional Japanese ryokan style rooms (meaning straw matted floor with futon mattress you roll out) Awesome location at the bottom of the gondola. They have a kitchen and fridge downstairs which you can make your own food and clean up after yourself when done. They have only showers downstairs although you get a free pass each day to use at the hotel Naturalwald next door’s onsen if you wish. (Very nice) You can buy food locally at the 7/11 which is amazing here in Japan nothing like in Australia alternatively there are food places like F’s Gate which have hearty food at reasonable prices. Make sure though you get your food before 7.30pm as places usually close early. Highly recommend budget accomodation.
