Samnop Samnang Guesthouse

Rooms were large and hosts were extremely nice, rooms were however boiling like a lot hotter than the outside temperature, there was an air conditioning unit in the room but you had to pay an extra $7 per night which we did in the second night and it was a lot more pleasant, bathroom wasn’t the cleanest with ants and cockroaches too, decent location around 15/20 minute walk to the centre

Great location, close to many shops and restaurants, and a 15 minute walk to the riverside and tourist bars. I arrived by VET bis services which is a 2 minute walk from the drop off point. Quiet area. Efficient laundry service.

Reasonably priced accommodation, comfortable bed. The staff were very nice

My room and bathroom had a very bad damp smell, and in the bathroom there were a lot of mould markings on the ceiling. The place was a good 20 minute walk to the any kind of area with bars and nightlife and you had to walk a good few dimly lit streets. As a solo traveller it felt a bit dangerous at times, I would say for a solo woman travelling, if you want to go out to bars, then stay somewhere closer and pay that little bit extra

The people running this place were very sweet and helpful. They can organize you a transit to any part of Cambodia, including Koh rong. Also possible to rent scooters there for a cheap prices which can save you a lot of time if you are staying in kampot for only 1-2 days. The rooms were decent too, especially in that price range
