Pezula Golf House

This review is for the whole house (apart from one bedroom that was locked) - I think you can also book the rooms separately. The house has everything you need and more! The bedrooms are lovely, beds and bed linen very comfortable. The living room and kitchen are big and plenty of room for everyone. The bedroom upstairs has AC but as the nights are fairly cool in Knysna, you don't really need one. There is a washer and dryer in the house. Upstairs is a cosy TV lounge with a fireplace (one in the living room as well). The house is cleaned every Wednesday. Outside there are two decks - perfect for all weather. The pool is clean AND heated:) Communication with owner was excellent!

The outside are could use a little TLC;) Tiles in the pool are falling off the the deck needs some oiling. The bathrooms are a bit small for the size of the house. All in all minor things....

Our stay was overshadowed by a frustrating experience with their deposit process. Despite advertising to international guests, they were not set up to accept deposits from overseas. Instead, we were asked to transfer the deposit into their golf account—an unusual and unprofessional arrangement. But we agreed only because they guaranteed to refund us the full amount in cash on departure. However, on the day of departure we were told that the timing didn't suit them, so it was left to us to organise international bank accounts for a refund. Even after we organised an account for them to transfer into, it took a full month after that for the owners to process the refund, it also required us to send weekly messages to ask when it was coming back to which we often had no reply. This was incredibly frustrating as we had been very clear that we were relying on the bond refund for the rest of our trip. And we had left the house in pristine condition. While the accommodation itself may have been fine, this issue left a bad taste in our mouths. If you’re an international traveler, be wary of their deposit process—or better yet, look elsewhere for a place that handles payments and refunds properly.

As above. A great place to stay ended up being a bit of an admin nightmare.

Beautiful, clean and extremely comfortable. Truly was home away from home.

Space. The layout of the house is perfect. Very practical. Proximity to Knysna and back. Large rooms and comfortable.

We liked everything about the house and the place! The house was sparklingly clean and beautifully decorated. All the comfort you need for a relaxing and enjoyable family gateaway in Knysna. The hosts ensured an excellent, easy and helpful communication flow. They went an extra mile to offer support when our car had a brief hicup!

Excellent vacation property. Well equipped Good beds and pillows - attentive and caring owner. Highly recommend this lovely establishment.

Airconditioning in the lounge would be great.
