Castle On The Heads

The room we had was absolutely stupendous. You can't beat the views...I'd say it rivals any sea view anywhere in the world. The staff was excellent. Breakfast was nice...yogurt and fruit, eggs, breakfast meat, avo, toast. The fireplace in the room was fabulously romantic, but, unfortunately it did not generate enough heat to warm the huge suite.

The room needs an aircon. It is uncomfortable in winter to be in an unheated glass room surrounded by the ocean. The winds were very strong, very loud, and very cold off the ocean. The fireplace was inadequate to heat the suite. The mattress heater was very necessary.

Absolutely outstanding – the highlight of our trip We stayed at Castle on the Heads in a suite, and it was absolutely amazing – without question the best accommodation of our entire Garden Route trip. The suite was enormous, truly spacious, with a huge terrace and an absolutely breathtaking location. Castle on the Heads really sits right at the very end of the cliff, and the views are simply spectacular – overlooking the bay and the open ocean. The location alone is incredible. The bathroom was just as impressive, very large and with stunning views over the water, which made the whole experience even more special. Waking up to this scenery was unforgettable. Breakfast was excellent, and everything about the stay felt high-quality and well thought out. From the room to the setting, everything was top level. Overall, an overwhelming experience and a real highlight. If not the best, then certainly one of the best places we stayed along the route. Highly recommended.

Top Notch Property, Great Location with the best views in Knysna. We had an incredible time and everything was very well organized. The host Zure was very courteous and helpful and took good care of us. The entire staff were very friendly and the breakfast was very nice. All in All a great experience and we hope to come back again in the future. Highly Recommend It !!!
