Everything was great - the staff (!!), the breakfast and the view. The price is high but you get a lot for it, including welcoming drinks and a cheese platter. We can recommend this place and would always come back. Thank you!

From the moment we arrived, we truly felt at home. Dirk and Wayne are exceptional hosts who make you feel so welcome and comfortable, as if you’re staying with family rather than at a guest house. The place is incredibly cozy, and every small detail has been thoughtfully designed—nothing is overlooked. You can really feel the care and love put into every corner. The breakfast was simply outstanding. Everything is freshly made every day, including delicious bites that were honestly some of the best we’ve had. It was the perfect start to each morning and something we genuinely looked forward to. This guest house is warm, beautiful, and full of heart. A truly special place—we can’t wait to return and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, charm, and wonderful hospitality.

The breakfast was well presented and very yummy! The home made poppy seed and orange muffins were lovely. The location was beautiful…the road a bit windy…but worth the drive when we arrived and were able to enjoy the views. Nice touch to have our bed turned down, and the dressing gowns on the bed when we arrived back from dinner.

Alexander Guesthouse is just an amazing place to stay :) The people are so warm and welcoming, the location is absolutely stunning and the rooms are wonderful, every detail is looked after! Wayne and Dirk also gave great recommendations for trips and restaurants. Breakfast was of highest quality, absolutely brilliant! A unique experience, thank you!

Everything: clean room, wonderful view, next to Knysna Heads (Great Spot), delicious breakfast and a very receptive and attentive staff

The property is beautifully located right on top of a hill. The views are breathtaking. The staff is very friendly and the owners are kind and very accommodating. The breakfast was very delicious with different options to choose from.

The bathrooms have a rustic feel to them which is a contrast to the bedrooms which feel more modern and luxurious.
