Beautiful place with a lovely garden and a great view over Knysna. Very kind owner taking excellent care of me. It was perfect having the breakfast ready-made in the room to enjoy it on the porch. Lovely place!

Very charming home with beautiful view from the patio and comfortable rooms. But the main differentiator were our hosts, Johan and David. They are truly the best hosts ever and we felt fortunate to stay with both of them who are such warm, generous people. We truly wished we could have stayed longer with them. The location of the house was slightly uphill from the town centre and we came by Bazbus so we didn’t have a car. When we were stranded in town at night, Johan arranged for David to come by in the car to pick us up as Uber is not prevalent in Knysna. They also help to send us to town to join a half day Featherbed reserve tour we signed up with their recommendation which was a lovely way to spend a nice sunny day. The food recommendation for pizza at Mario was a highlight for our South Africa trip too!

The breakfast was a pleasant surprise and a welcome addition. Everything on the plate was fresh and appetising and tasted real good.

David the owner is the sweetest man who went out of his way to assist me. Isaac, who works there, is very sweet and welcoming. The accommodation is absolutely stunning beyond words. The room is beautifully designed in every way possible, along with an extremely comfy room, spottless, sparkling clean, neat, and surroundings, with a fabulous private balcony, such a treat. The view from the balcony is out of this world with a stunning garden. The location is so special and very peaceful and quiet.....what a pleasure. I highly recommend 14 Mount Joy so do not miss your opportunity to book your room here anytime. Michelle (Israel).

Everything's just perfect!

The setting was lovely and somewhat private. The host, David was friendly, very attentive and willing to assist with personal requests to make our stay comfortable.

Friendly host. Perfect location. Tranquil. Clean. Great value for money!

No breakfast in the fridge, but host apologised, it was in a different fridge. No worries. Lovely stay made up for it ☺️
