Enchanted Villa

Breakfast was great. You were given a small menu and it was cooked for you by Miguel. Great location. Beautiful building much like a very large older mansion, however, each room does have its own bathroom. There are multiple other rooms and terraces with furniture to hang out in. Tavira seems to have entertainment of some sort in the local town area from about 8:30-11 every night. Local singers and groups in traditional Portuguese dress. One of the unexpected highlights of our trip.

Wifi in that general area is absolutely awful. Neither of our phones could connect to let the manger/owner know that we were there to check in. Fortunately another couple staying there arrived and contacted them for us. But be aware that connectivity in that area is incredibly bad.

Miguel the host was fantastic. Incredibly helpful, always available and gave great suggestions and local information to us. The breakfast was excellent and top quality, including the freshly squeezed orange juice and those wonderful pastries fresh from the bakery! The rooms were spacious, clean and airy, linen fresh and everywhere tastfully furnished. It really felt like you were guests in an authentic Portiguese home. There's a lovely upstairs sun roof and also a nice communal living room. The location is ideally placed. A short walk to the lovely Roman bridge, parks, sightseeing, great restuarants, cafes and the supermarket. Also just around the corner is a beautiful little square with lovely flowere where we listened to an accordionist! At night in Tavira are a whole host of amazing street musicians from opera singers to violinists.

Excellent location in the heart of Tavira. Extremely clean with daily maid service and fresh towels. Lovely continental breakfast that was off the menu friendly, welcoming and happy to assist you with anything you need. I certainly recommend this lovely guest house.

Very narrow street so cars unable to drive down but this is normal in such a quaint cobblestoned town. Taxi will drop off and pick up on next street so it's not really an issue. Don't let this put you off. It all adds charm to this delightful guesthouse and less noise from traffic.

Miguel the manager was very informative and provided upscale customer service. The room was big, clean, and comfy.

The host Miguel was fantastic. Very friendly and made sure our stay was comfortable. The breakfast provided was exceptional. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Location is very central and a short walk from many great restaurants, Roman bridge, old town square and the ferry it Island Tavira.

Excellent location, right in the centre of town and close to bars, restaurants and the main tourist sites; charming and very helpful host; large room; good breakfast and Miguel went out of his way to provide gluten-free food; good aircon; immaculately clean; Miguel very generous with handing out bottles of chilled water; two lovely terraces to relax on. A hybrid between an AirBnB and a hotel that works very well.

Nothing. A fridge in the room would have been nice - it was very hot the weekend we visited. To be fair, Miguel offered us the use of the hotel's fridge but we declined as we didn't want to be a pain every time we fancied a glass of wine.

The entire place was very clean, our room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom is indeed just across the room, but it is private, and it is very spacious. This wasn't a problem for us. Of course, a big thumb up for Miguel! I would totally recommend Enchanted Villa for a stay in Tavira.
