Dimora del Mercante

Set within a traditional and historic building on a relatively quiet street, the apartment is in a great location for exploring Catania's main attractions, and Angelo, the owner, was extremely helpful in providing us with lots of useful information about the city. The room had everything we needed for our one night stay, and the shared kitchen and dining area was well equipped. I particularly appreciated the small fridge in our room for our own personal use.

There were a few more stairs and corridors up to our room than I had anticipated, but we are in our sixties and still managed the ascent with luggage without too much difficulty. A suggested improvement would be the addition of a mirror in the bedroom.

Las dos cuadras que rodean el lugar son muy feas. El ingreso a la habitación (el edificio) muyyyy deteriorado. Al baño le falta algo de limpieza.

Angelo è stato semplicemente fantastico. Tutto quello che un host dovrebbe essere, premuroso, preparato, gentile e disponibile. La camera con balcone, perfetta.

The property was very clean and right in the centre of catania so very easy to walk to restaurants and bars. Angelo was an amazing host and allowed us to keep luggage there before the room was ready and he sent us lots of recommendations of what to do with our days there. Would definitely stay there again!

Very central location - great for exploring the city. The host was also really helpful and answered all our question promptly and thoroughly.

Since it is a very central location it was a bit noisy.

Good to have three en-suites, convenient to walk to all historic places and easy bus back to airport. Angelo the host was very helpful and answered any queries we had immediately

A lot of stairs but you get fit using them!

Angelo war ein super Host, der jederzeit erreichbar war und Tipps z.B. für Restaurants auf Lager hatte. Der Balkon mit Sonnenschutz ist super für ein Frühstück, auch im großen Kühlschrank war genug Platz für eigene Einkäufe. Die Beschreibung für den Check-in war sehr detailliert und hat uns geholfen, die Unterkunft gut zu finden. Es war sehr sauber. Schräg gegenüber gibt es eine kleine Bäckerei und auf dem Markt am Platz um die Ecke haben wir sehr leckeres (und günstiges) Obst gekauft.

Die Gegend ist nicht besonders sauber, aber dafür kann die Unterkunft ja nichts.
