It's rustic and if you like it simple you'll like it. Has all you need although the kitchen is super small. But the location is amazing, 1 min from the lagoon

No dish soap to wash the dishes and the toilet paper bins in the bathrooms never got emptied so were starting to smell. The lock on one of the toilet doors didn't work either and there were no toilet seats. Place felt very poorly constructed. Room was very hot as only had a ceiling fan but was bare able

The Tree Itself is Very Special

Some days no toilet paper or soap. Also water the plants please, they are living beings. A little love goes a very long way :)

Nice location

The bottom sheet and pillow cases were dirty, they had hairs all over.. There is just a blanket without the top sheet that was super itchy .. Most of the time there was no toilet paper in the bathrooms.. I think the place needs a little more attention on basic things..

The location of this hostel was amazing, literally 1 min walk & 10 min to the centre so really can’t complain on that side of things. Staff were also really nice and shower was decent

I saw a review a while ago mentioning no toilet seats which isn’t a huge deal but when you add up all the little faults it’s a bit annoying. Constantly having to squat when toilet seats are in expensive. Our room was a shack, I opted for small double room but wasn’t specified it was a wooden shack with many gaps in the planks of wood, we had no windows (glass) we had blankets cover the windows which obviously did nothing for the mosquitos and then we had a mosquito net with so so many holes in. We were eaten alive. Aside from the location there are a few small things this place could do to make the stay so much better. It was quite disappointing I can’t lie. Also our bed was positioned in a way that a shelf came jutting out diagonally so we really struggled to have two people sleep comfortably as that was in the way.

Location close to the free Dock

One of the basic private rooms, the one we were in,is made of pallets, was very small, windowless, and smelled musty. Also no mosquito nets between the wooden pieces at the top, couchcrouches and mosquitos enter the room freely. The mosquito net was too small and full of holes, making it useless. We wanted to move to the room next to us , which had the same price but was slightly larger and more decent, but the owner told us we could cancel our reservation and pay for another room, even though it was the same listing on Booking and our room was already been payed. The bathroom cleaning was nonexistent, and a single roll of toilet paper for all the hostel guests was obviously not enough. The bathroom bin, full of used toilet paper, was never emptied during our stay. We had to ask for information about tours, public transport, bike/motorbike rentals, and dining options elsewhere because the staff member was too lazy and unwilling to interact with guests. For the price we paid for this room, we definitely do NOT recommend it.

Good location, big room. Good value for the price. The staff were great. He found the charger I left behind and kept it for me.
