Hostal Angelines

Perfect location to explore Madrid. Shops & restaurants very close . Very good AC & bath room.

Rooms are a bit tiny. No english at all made even basic stuff like checkout a bit complicated too. No common room so this no place place to meet other people.

For a hostal, it was a very good find. Definitely great value for the money. Clean, comfortable, mostly quiet. Everything in working condition, well taken care of.

I could hear neighbors from the corridor but not from the neighbouring rooms. The bed wasn't hotel quality but good enough for a good night sleep.

I enjoyed nearly all aspects of this lodging. The bed was VERY comfortable. The sleeping room was very clean and spacious including the floor space. There was plenty of space for me to lay a yoga mat without having to move luggage or furniture or walking over it to access other areas in the room. The desk was very useful. Its drawers were helpful to keep my items separated and readily accessible. The bathroom was very clean. The shower was spacious and hot water really available and plentiful. I appreciated the soft lights in the bathroom to avoid the light shock from bright lights in darkness. The hosts were very pleasant. Great access to metro stations, quality restaurants/bars/shopping/historic/cultural items. El Corte Inglés was close. Templo de Debod was within easy walking distance. Nice for la Nochevieja and a great view of los fuegos artificiales. The rate was higher than I typically prefer to pay, however, the lodging was worth the higher rate. It was a relaxing atmosphere in a great location. I'll definitely return to this hostal.

TV was too small for the expected viewing distance. I couldn't really see much detail while lying in the bed opposite the TV. Also, the closet space was practically useless. A very poor design. It appeared to be an "afterthought". NO space for horizontal placement of a rolling duffle. It would have to be set in an upright position. Also, the open space behind the wall was almost useless for storing medium to large bags. One has to insert the bag then turn it completely at a right angle in order to fit it behind the wall. The whole physical configuration is inefficient use of space. There's plenty of space on the wall to set a larger flat-screen TV. Fortunately, there was plenty of space in the room for storing medium and large baggage. It was just odd to me. I didn't really use the closet for storage other than to hang a couple of jackets.

Very nice lady. Warm, clean and comfortable room. Nice shower.

Room was dark with no view and you couldn't see out of the window. No proper curtains - only net curtains and frosted window glass.

Nice & friendly staff. Clean, close to center.

A bit noisy, when othercustomers have no consideration of late times
