Dimora dell'Annunziata

This place was fantastic and so was Nunzia. The room had everything that we needed and had parking which was great as we had a car. It was a short walk to town.

The host was exceptional. She welcomed us pretty late at nite to give us the keys, when we arrived. She cleaned up the room after 2 days and asked us if we wanted to have the reimbursement for the breakfast we could not take since we were leaving too early. Very nice, to be recommend. The only hack in the room is that there no much natural light, but for the rest top.

An unforgettable day in Matera! The accommodation was excellent, location within walking distance of the Sassi, bus and train station. The room was spacious and very clean and the host particularly welcoming and communicative.

A very well presented apartment that seemed to be very new and or very recently renovated to a very high standard. it was very comfortable snd user-friendly. It was probably the cleanest apartment that we will ever stay in: it was evident that the owner was very focused on this aspect! There was a coffee maker and a fridge. Breakfast was a simple but pleasant affair at a nearby cafe. There were shops, including a supermarket within a 5 minute walk. The owner was really nice - friendly snd very helpful. She communicated very well both before arrival and during our stay - this, amongst other things, made both arrival and departure into efficient and pleasant experiences. The heating was set to a generous temperature - which can’t be said of some of the places we have stayed recently. There is free, gated parking included no more than 20 metres from the front door. This is useful, as finding parking in Italian cities is not always very easy. The apartment is about a 10 minute walk from Matera’s vast and impressive Old Town. I would stay here again if I were in the area and would recommend it without hesitation to family snd friends. For lunch, we were impressed by the quality and value of Da Nonna Rosa on Via Lucana, just below Castle Park.

No negatives!

The place was really clean and cosy. Well located and easy accessible. Nunzia was very nice.

There was a moldy smell and there are practically no windows for more air.

Nuzzia was friendly and a lovely hostess. The room was clean, well furnished and easy accessible. There was a private parking spot in a gated lot. It was a 20 min walk to the old town. The bakery around the corner, Panifico, sold the iconic bread of Matera, which is very tasty.

Breakfast was at a cafe around the corner from the room.
