Dodo Japaridze Guesthouse

The room we had was big and comfortable and had its own bathroom. Otherwise there is a shared bathroom outside for the other rooms. The breakfast in the morning was plenty and the owner insisted we take the leftovers which is nice for an afternoon snack.

The breakfast was only from 9:00 which can be a bit late if a longer day hike is planned.

Accommodation in the very centre of Mestia, but in a very quiet street. The room was small but clean and enough for an overnight stay after trekking in the mountains. The lady owner was very nice and helpful. She doesn't speak much English but you can always understand each other somehow. Included in our stay was a very good home cooked breakfast which was plentiful and filled us up. Unfortunately we had to leave before breakfast the second day, however the owner had prepared a lunch box for us to take on the road. The stay was overall very enjoyable.

good localization near to center , very nice host

Dodo was nice and helpfull. We could leave our car there while the trek to Ushguli. Food was also good. There wasn,t cold inside.

I had booked the deluxe double room and stayed here for three nights. It was great and comfortable stay, especially as a solo female traveler. I had this room to myself, it was spacious and very comfy. It even had a couch, the door had a key and lock. There wasn’t a wall charger next to the bed so it was a tad inconvenient if I wanted to charge phone and look at it on the bed at the same time, but not that big a deal. Obviously this is a cozy guest house, not a hotel, and the accommodations are as such, but it was great. The house was a little hard to find at first, location on google and Apple Maps didn’t seem accurate, so I asked somebody else. Dodo was so kind and had a lovely breakfast prepared where I met some of the other travelers she was hosting. We spoke in Russian. Besides breakfast and the first introduction I didn’t see her much, we had different schedules. But her home is cozy and I would certainly recommend to others!

The owner is super welcoming and kind! The facilities were good and clean. The location is very convenient. Overall, it was a great value for paid money. And once again, the host is very kind and tried to help us in everything we needed.

Perfect location in the centre but on a quiet street, historic house, nice friendly owners, comfortable facilities, tasty massive breakfasts! Good restaurant "Panorama" with Svanetian and Georgian cuisine nearby. Recommended!
