Room old fashioned but very clean

Breakfast was ok freshly cooked but overcooked bacon and hash browns every morning.

"Super staff, but let down by lack of investment."

The manager, who seemed to do everything himself, was excellent. Very helpful person. Great breakfast service.

The hotel is a bit tired. Wallpaper coming off upstairs. My bathroom extractor fan didn't work. The steep stairs are a bit of a problem. Felt it could be a fire trap. The room fan only works when the main light is on. Not very handy for sleeping.

The staff are very welcoming, helpful and friendly

Stairs were a killer, I wish there was a lift to the forth floor, my son never came down after Parish walk until the morning we checked out, but still the kitchen staff were very understanding and allowed me to take an espresso drink upstairs for him.

Staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was good. Location was very convenient for transport. We had a seaview room, which had a fantastic view of the bay.

Wifi was not great, this seemed to be a problem for other guests too.

The manager was helpful but was unable to fix a significant problem with the room. He offered a full refund. He said I had to apply to Booking.com for this and he would authorise it. I booked into a different hotel. Booking.com say they can't get agreement with the manager. I photographed his email to them as evidence but they are still refusing my refund, offering a partial credit instead. I will probably never use Booking.com again. The hotel manager may have lied to me, but he seemed genuine.

My experience with Booking.com. Also the hotel seemed to be full and the manager couldn't fix the problem. I suspect the next clients will have the same problem.
