The hosts were exceptionally wonderful!!!!! So hospitable and had lots to share! Breakfasts were fabulous!

This is one of the loveliest guest houses I’ve ever stayed in. Hosts are warm and generous, lovely breakfast, comfy bedrooms (and really they’ve thought of everything). Travel iron in every room hairdryer, make up wipes, tissues, tea and biscuits, a spare blanket, and a comfy bathrobe. Beds are comfy, with a lovely heavy duvet and full feeling pillows. They even recommended a running route for me. Also, as a side note, external bathroom is not a downgrade but in fact a luxury. I stayed in both rooms with external bathroom (1 and 4) and they could not have been better (especially 4). Stunning bathroom with a great shower and complimentary shampoo/body wash and moisturiser on the basins. I would stay here again for sure if I’m ever back in Chester (actually thinking about planning a trip with my husband just to come back here!). I absolutely would have no notes for this stunning place. My only note is to myself - bring your own conditioner if you like to use that in the shower! Also, if you like dogs, they have the sweetest standard poodle you’ll ever meet.

Hayley and John were welcoming, warm and helpful throughout my stay. There were many thoughtful touches and they are dedicated to their guests having a positive experience. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent.

Hayley and John are lovely hosts and their breakfast is excellent! We like the location as we’ve stayed at another property on the same road which is just on the outskirts in Hoole, so just a short 10 min walk into the city of Chester, also passing a good selection of lovely shops and restaurants/pubs on Faulkner Street which is just 5 mins away from the property.

The room came with an external bathroom which we have booked this option before at another property but we initially struggled to unlock the bathroom door, particularly in the middle of the night having to use the bathroom more than once, possibly disturbing other guests staying. We made the decision to keep the bathroom door unlocked whilst in the property.

Very good location, and Hayley and John were extremely helpful, communicative, and pleasant to deal with! We were travelling a long distance to get to Chester and as our ETA got delayed until late evening, the hosts were very accommodating and able to arrange a self check-in which was extremely convenient! Check-out was at 10:30 and breakfast was served 08:00-09:00 so we were quite tired in the morning but it was a very nice place to stay.
