The Clarens Place

The water supply was not regular. When we checked in we were told that the water pump was broken. We understood that, but at the second morning we stayed the water were not stable even after we checked out.

The location of The Clarens Place is perfect. It is closer to the square, you can walk there or just less than 5min drive. Beautiful views from the balcony as well.

We were not informed in advance that the room we occupied had bees nesting in the fireplace. At night, we could not switch on the lights as the bees were attracted to them and flew around the room. During the day, the situation worsened, with bees throughout the room, forcing us to stay outside. We reported this to one of the owners, who attempted to fumigate the fireplace area, but this appeared to make the problem worse. We had to purchase materials ourselves to seal the fireplace opening. For guests who are afraid of bees, this accommodation is not recommended until the issue is permanently resolved. Additionally, there was a water supply problem during our stay, which caused us to leave earlier than our scheduled checkout time.

No staff on site, furniture a little old and tired (Rembrandt)..fireplace has a hone of wasps inside which constantly come into the room 24/7...had to buy insecticide to fight them off

Very spacious, balcony is good, close to centre of town.
