"Great, spacious stay in Clarens despite major water restrictions!"

We had a great stay in Clarens, and loved the comfortable beds and the sun filled balcony. The location was great and the room was incredibly spacious. We also loved that it was pet friendly!

We experienced major water restrictions at the property, with no water from around 2pm onwards until 6am. While there were buckets on site, there is no Jojo tank or backup water available unlike many of the other accommodation options in the area.

The view is magnificent and its much cozier than on the pictures, they had everything there

They had called me back only after a few hours 🤦‍♀️ after we’ve decided to do not leave a car at their place…

"Rooms were lovely and comfortable, however no hot water either in the evening or morning."

There was no hot water in any of our rooms. We had water at all times (we were advised it may be turned off, but it wasn't) however it was freezing cold. The outside temperature was 5 degrees so we would have liked a warm shower. Again in the morning, there was water, but no warm water for a shower.

"The Clarens Place"

Very spacious, neat clean. Underfloor heating in the bathroom was very nice. Bed was comfy. Netflix was nice. View was amazing.

Clarens has water problems and there was no tank and pump so we ran out of water. We were left with 10lts in 2 containers, so I had to go out into town at night and refill containers at the brewery. Apparently most guest houses have fitted tanks and pumps for this reason. I now know that this is a question to be asked before booking. Secondly, the gate is out of order, so has to be manually operated, not a deal breaker but is surely an easy fix and guests will appreciate it
