The Matress was very uncomfortable No Curtains and no privacy Stray Dogs in Front of the Hostel

The hostel is nice and comfortable, but I’m leaving a 1/10 rating because I bought a shuttle bus ticket to Belize through them, and it turned out to be a big tourist scam. At the Mexico-Belize border, the bus stopped at a strange office separate from the official one. There, they charged me 800 MXN as a “tourist fee” to get my exit stamp, which is completely illegal. If you entered Mexico by air, you’ve most likely already paid this fee as part of your airline ticket. However, they don’t care—if you refuse to pay, they simply won’t stamp your passport. They also don’t provide a receipt. When I asked the bus driver, he insisted the fee was mandatory, but after investigating, I found out this is a total lie. The only legitimate tourist fee in Quintana Roo is a maximum of 300 MXN. Avoid booking transportation through this hostel if you don’t want to fall victim to this scam. Consider taking an ADO but to Chetumal and from there a chicken but to cross the border and reach Belize city.

Beautiful place in a good location in Bacalar. The staff was friendly but reception hours were very limited so keep that in mind if you want to book anything through them. Rooms and other amenities were all good.

Super hostel, the place is nice and well maintained The rooms are clean and it's very quiet! For the price, it's an excellent place. The staff are also very nice and were able to give me lots of information. I definitely recommend!

Not a big deal but the hostel could provide soap and shampoo in the showers and curtains for the beds ! :)

Staff were really kind, especially the german girl (Marlen? My name memory is really 0...) You can rent bike for a whole day. The athmosphere of the place is amazibg, if you need 100%hostel vibes, that place is for you. I met amaxing people there, kitchen is simple but enough for everything you need, they have hot shower and a gorgeous garden. And the lake is like 5-10 min by walk, it's really nothing.

In my room I didn't have shelf and curtain. (Others in the same room had these)

Very cute place, great vibe! I stayed in a tent, it felt like camping and was a great experience. It was a bit noisy but overall loved it.
