Small quiet hostel, liked the fact that it’s surrounded by a small jungle (although bring some bug repellent), walking distance from the center

Lacking a bit of ambiance Sinks are outside the bathrooms

I chose to sleep in a tent just because I like camping. It was ok. The fan in the tent was perfect. The natural forest environment was cool but the mosquitoes a little annoying at times. Location was pretty good, easy walking distance to the lagoon for water tours, activities and dining. ADO is also close by.

Nothing really. It is tent camping and very basic such camping with just a futon, pillow and sheet. Plus a fan.

Great people that are working at the counter- can give you tips and recommendations. Quiet place, clean, I stayed in a tent, so was kinda cool to have my own "room" in the garden! Tent also has power outlet and a fan which is awesome!

The staff was super helpful despite our late arrival. It's close to the free lagun access point. We slept in the tent and has power attached there.

There is no lockers for tents, you can leave your staff in the room near reception

Really beautiful property, amazing gardens and hang out spot, tent was comfy!

Not a criticism of the hostel, but bacalar as a whole, keep an eye out for stray dogs as some can be aggressive

All the equipment is very nice and clean. The WiFi was working well, the beds were comfortable, there was a small fan on each bed. All the bathrooms were super clean and the outside kitchen was pleasant to use. Most of the common areas are outside, so it has a very nice vibe. The staff was very helpful too. Knowing that it's one of the cheapest option in Bacalar this is definitely worth going.

The location is not necessarily ideal but it's really not bad either

Nothing but love for this place! I loved being able to stay in a tent and have my own personal bedroom for a bit! The tent even had a fan! (I love camping!) Juan has been amazing and helped me with my plans and even some future travel plans! The breakfast is great too!
