The Dial House Guest House

Friendly owner and staff. Location excellent, we travelled to and from Oxford city centre daily on the bus which was right outside. Free onsite parking. Clean and functional room with plenty of tea, coffee, hot chocolate. Towels soft and fresh, loved the black 'make up' face cloth as I aways leave makeup on white towels despite removing my makeup with facewash! Toiletries supplied. Comfortably heated room, we went beginning of May, a bit chilly out, snug in the room. Breakfast available but we don't do breakfast, so didn't take up this optional extra. THANK YOU FOR A GREAT STAY, IT WAS THE BREAK WE NEEDED!

For some the shower on bath rest might have been an issue, it didn't have its own holder due to the room being in the roof - this did not bother us. Water plenty hot enough which is always my concern. TV signal a bit hit and miss and limited stations but again not a huge issue as I fell asleep anyway! I advise to get the inevitable bird poo, from parking under the trees, off your car before it bakes on like mine did in the heat wave that followed our trip!

The dining area looked out onto a large garden.The breakfast was very good. It was a continental breakfast, with a choice of eggs; fried, boiled, poached,scrambled or an omelette. The rooms were very clean, the showers were hot,with towels and shampoo/shower gel supplied. The location was perfect. A very, short walk into Headington, or 25 minute walk into Oxford city. Alternatively, there is a regular bus service. There was free parking within the grounds of the guest house. The lady running the guest house was very helpful.

The TV at night lost signal a few times, we were at the top of the house.

Vue moche depuis la chambre. Petit déjeuner sans aucun charme. Hall d'entrée peu chaleureux.

A very nice place a bit outside Oxford, very convenient for visitors of Oxford Brookes University. For breakfast, a variety of eggs was offered.

I stayed in an attic room. Because of the slanted walls, there was no shelf space in the bathroom. Additionally, the mattresses were somewhat sagging.
