Summerwind Guest House

Sue is an exceptional host who goes above and beyond to ensure her guests feel welcome and well cared for. The room is in a perfect location, conveniently close to both the train station and the beach. I would definitely stay at Summerwind again!

What a lovely guest house. Sue the owner was fabulous, full of information about the area & kind, & couldn't do enough to make our stay memorable. Our room was lovely, stylish yet cosy & brilliant ensuite. Certainly book again.

Sue is the most warm and welcoming host. She made sure she was there to welcome us and to see us when we left. Nothing was too much trouble and she was very knowledgeable of the area. The room was super comfortable with great decor and a very good supply of tea, coffee etc with the bonus of a fridge with fresh milk and water. A super sized en-suite bathroom was lovely to have. A great added bonus of parking too. A definite home from home feeling and will certainly be making a return visit.

Sue was very welcoming and put me at ease as a solo woman traveller. her knowledge of the best places to eat and visit were very helpful. She honestly couldn't do enough for me and I believe she genuinely wanted me to have the best stay possible.

The hostess made me feel at home right away. She made very helpful recommendations regarding where to eat and what to see in the area. I was travelling by train, the property was close to the train station, centre of town and the sea.

Very comfortable room with great decor. Close to seafront and town. Sue very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed.

Location was excellent especially if you use the train. Room was clean, comfy and cosy. Sue was a very obliging host and couldn't do enough for us. Although no breakfast provided the guesthouse is surrounded by many cafes and restaurants and Sue is happy to give recommendations. The guesthouse is also a short walk from the seafront.

Comfortable ensuite twin bedded room (our preference) in lovely home. Sue has thought of everything and checked if there was anything else we needed. Breakfast is not provided but Sue has several recommendations that are a few minutes walk away. Guests are provided with a parking permit which is brilliant. Great location as couple of minutes to seafront and 5 minutes into town, 10 mins walk from railway station for an easy trip to Exeter. Communication prior to arrival was excellent and guests are made so welcome, very homely.

Mini-fridge with fresh milk was great though could it be located in the large bathroom or another location where 1 fridge could serve 2 rooms? Just a suggestion.
