Old Gate Family Guest House

right near the old gate….center of everything. neat and clean!! we had a medical emergency…manager/owner stayed all the time and is very conversant in English….we would be lost without his help….thanks Nurbeyev and family!!!

Fantastic location. Fantastic breakfast. Wonderful and hospitable family who runs the place. It made my trip to Uzbekistan so special.

Lovely and thoughtful owner

This was my favourite accomodation during my whole trip in Uzbekistan. The bed was really comfy, big room, big bathroom and a balcony. The breakfast is huge so I was full for the whole day. Owners are extremely nice and friendly, and one speaks excellent English. Location is great, you can reach all historic sites on foot. I can highly recommend this hotel!

The bathtube was not clean but it is a minor thing.

It is correctly named the Old Gate HOTEL. Please correct the name on Booking.com’s website as neither we nor the taxi driver were sure we had found the right place at 10pm on a winter night. The proprietor wanted us to pay on arrival. This is unusual and may have come from a past bad experience but it was odd.

Great location; near everything you need to see in Bukhara. There’s also a store for snacks and drinks just a few steps away. The room was comfortable and breakfast was superb. The host, Rahmatulloh, was welcoming and hospitable.

Nurkat, his brother and the whole family were brilliant hosts - extremely friendly and helpful, and made me feel at home. Beautiful courtyard guesthouse right in the centre of Bukhara, next to many of the tourist attractions but also quiet enough to be peaceful. Breakfast was great 😄
