Fazenda do Sousinha

The terrace was wonderful and the view from it was beautiful, the room was very big and spacious, the bed was huge, the owner was very kind and gave us bananas from their plantation which were excellent, the bus stop is very close and takes you to the center of Funchal, would recommend.

The hill to the apartment takes your breath away, literally.

There are 2 floors + balcony. Wide bathroom. huge bedroom. Amazing design especially kitchen. Kind hosta. Beautiful view at the montain.

We had a week's stay in Maderia and Fazenda do Sousinha and it was brillant. A stunning Island supported by a fantastic property, very quaint, well proportioned, clean and with all the facilities required. Beautifully situated high up with amazing views, which were appreciated sat out on the verandah with a glass in the evenings. The weather was beautiful. We were a stones throw from Funchal and everywhere else easily accessible with our hire car. A beautiful walking area amongst the banana palms and for the more adventurous further afield. On our arrival Joanne and Oscar made us very welcome. Joanne met us,, showed us around, advised places to visit and eat and kept us in supply of bananas. Bar and shopping facilities all nearby. We would certainly return and would thoroughly recommend this accommodation Thank you Joanne and Oscar

It was one of our most magnificent trip not only because Madeira is so beautifull but also that we could feel how it was on a real banana plantation! Host was great, there were always bananas prepared for us, our room was cleaned once a week and we could even use the terrace to have a grill and try a real Espetada :) We will come back for sure!

Remember that in order to have warm water you have to let the water run for a few minutes longer than you could think of. Then it works:)

A beautiful place, right next to a banana plantation... The house is nicely furnished, there is everything you need. The host served his organic bananas...

I recommend that You safe Your belongings, especially money, because where there are houses and where tourists are resting, there are also thefts from residential buildings(in the night). Keep money only on credit cards, have very little cash. Because we had unpleasant experiences... :(

The view was stunning. Also, very kind hosts, we got a lot of bananas. Great value for the money😊

It was a little bit cold inside, because we were staying in the winter season. Also we have some ants visiting.

Very cozy and quiet place close to the city center and amazing view from the balcony.
