Quinta Da Espada

Great experience, typical and wonderful "quinta", great for a couple of days stopover in Evora.

The grounds are extremely beautiful. The pool was wonderful and refreshing on hot summer days.

The experience was above of our expectation. The staff was carefull, the area lovely, close to lovely beaches. We are recommanding this place.

We (family of four - 2 adults and 2 children aged 9 and 6) stayed at Quinta da Espada for two nights whilst travelling in Portugal. We stayed in the yellow room, which is a double, with two extra beds provided for the kids. The Quinta is about 3 or 4km outside Evora, so it's many attractions and restaurants are only ten minutes away. However, the rural setting is quiet and peaceful and a great place to relax. The buildings are nicely furnished, set alongside pretty formal gardens and a lovely pool nestled amongst olive and orange trees. It was also special to have part of the historic aqueduct running through the grounds - which we were able to follow on the drive into Evora. Isabel is a helpful host - she spoke good English and gave us useful recommendations for places to visit in Evora. We'd definitely recommend a stay at Quinta da Espada. It was excellent value for money and a lovely place to stay.

This place is < 10 min. From heart of Évora. Cork orchard very close by. Rural in setting and so lovely. Orange trees and flowers of all types and a Aqua duct. Our room was more like a studio apt. Professional designed, I’d say. Windows opened out to the beautiful day. We had breakfast in our room, which I enjoyed after all the communial breakfasts. Owner was extremely helpful, with musts we should see. This would be a place I’d come back to and stay a week. It surpassed our expectations.

Arrived tired from the trip from Belgium (2000 km), we were greeted by Paula (cleaning lady) with a big smile! After showing us the clean room (we received a room-apartment with kitchen), she showed us the rest op the place. The pool is very nice. Everything is well placed and organized. The room was cleaned every day and Paula was always ready for a little talk. Big plus for her! The breakfast was good, but a little variety is welcome. All in all a very nice b&b at a very good location (5 min from Évora) with a correct price.

Very beautiful farm and so near from Évora, just 5 minutes. Very well taken care, the pool is nice and quite big with a rustic shower (so cool) on the side. The houses are quite big and spacious, with an all equipped cuisine, AC, 2 suites and a spacious living area. The environment is very rustic and typical. Évora is one of the best places to eat in Portugal. Try the black pork and typical deserts. Certainly a place to come back.
