SilkRoad Guesthouse

Very clean and cozy guesthouse/hostel-style atmosphere, lots of wood and decoration everywhere. Comfortable room, quite a good breakfast. All very smooth!

The location is sort of in the middle of nowhere on a dusty side street just off of a main highway/avenue. I suspect it was a more convenient location before the bus station—previously right across the avenue—relocated north of the city. That said, Yandex taxis are easy to get, so it really did not feel like it impeded our stay at all!

Der Frühstücksraum ist nett eingerichtet und das Frühstück ist sehr lecker. Das Personal sehr zuvorkommend. Zum Bazar läuft man ca.10 min. Die Straße ist allerdings kaum bis gar nicht beleuchtet. Es empfiehlt sich daher noch im Hellen anzukommen.

Coffee or tea with biscuits always available, great outside seating area, generous breakfast and super friendly staff.

Beautiful place. There is a large supermarket and some takeaways a couple of minutes up the road.

The girls at the reception were very lovely. There is a bit of a language barrier I noticed. I had lots of questions but had to wait for my next guesthouse 😬

Thanks to the team for being so helpful - they rearranged the beds so it can fit our family configuration, very nice. The place is very well furnished with a cosy shared space. The rooms are basic but clean. The building and court look a bit shady from the outside but let this not frighten you. Also, great gateaway point for the airport. See you next time!
